So Friday night I gave up going to the LA County Fair to celebrate Jimmy's 28th Birthday. We had a blast! It was super nice reuniting with some old faces and meeting some new ones. But before that, we were waiting for Christine to come home because it might've been awkward for a couple of my friends if they didn't know anybody. So...We set after this sandwich spot we had heard about via the internet, and since it was located in santa ana, it was somewhat close to our destination. After a few minutes of driving we finally arrived, only to see that it was only a few blocks away from the party. The area is Santa Ana borderlined with Tustin, and a pretty nice area to eat and even hang out. It's not a restaurant you would normally notice, but if you live around the area, you might've been to their famous neighbors Chipotle, Shabu Shabu, or even the famous Carl. The place had a homey feel to it. Nice artistic layout with soft spotlights that reflected off and gave it a soft feel like an ikea. Ordering was very organized with neat filed sandwich bags in categories of different meats, seafoods, and chicken. So after you grab a bag, there are a variety of pens that you can bubble in for your choice of topping and sauces. Unfortunately they have a one size fits all policy so the only size you can get is 8 inches, so i decided to get the "wicked," which includes 5 different types of meats and 3 different types of cheeses, washed it all down with a nice cup of fruit punch. Vi got the ruben, John got the roast beef, and steve got the wicked as well. My Wicked just about hit the spot, so I was at a good full, but John who had ordered the roast beef wasn't full yet, so my advice to my fellow hefty eaters, find another hefty friend and split another sandwich. It's funny because, John didn't want to try out this spot in the first place, thinking it would be another subway, but after trying it, he kept his order bag, and came back the next day. lol I would defiantly come back here again.
